February's skill share: Intro to Garment Construction (9am-10am)

*Please bring your own sewing machine and know the basics of how to operate it. We will have a couple of machines available to borrow*

This month we will learn how to make a circle skirt with elastic waistband that you can take home at the end! Skills we will cover include:
- kinds of fabric (and when to use what)
- how to take your measurements
- cutting, pinning and stitching straight seams
- hems and elastic waistbands

This free class is followed by social craft circle time (10am-noon) where you can bring your own project to work on or continue constructing your skirt. Stay for just the class, come just for the social crafting after or spend the whole morning with us!

The event is geared towards adults. It's free and materials will be provided.
